Digital Pipeline Africa was conceived in the year 2005 through the partnership between Computers for Schools Kenya (CFSK) and Digital pipeline UK – a Microsoft sponsored program that had provided 25,000 computers to schools and institutions in 11 African Countries which included: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, Zambia, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Cameroon, Malawi, and Namibia. The inception of DPA was to continue the implementation of the program in the other countries.

The conception of DPA was aimed at continuing the implementation of the program in Kenya and other African countries.
